I finished up the Skinny Book swap pages for Altered Abbey and packaged them up to send off. I had a total of 30 pages and didn’t think you’d want to scroll through that many pictures. That would be one long Make Art Monday post! Then, I remembered that I had seen this handy photo […]

Do you remember Victoria magazine? I have every single issue and was so sad when it stopped. Well, it is back! I am so excited. I subscribed without seeing the first issue of the new mag, so I hope it is as good as the old Victoria. What does it have to do with rubber […]

I mentioned in my last post that I hadn’t painted in four years and thought you might want to know why I stopped painting in the first place - I was in the middle of a painting of my beloving Sarah - a three year old standard poodle. She’d had several health problems already, but […]

You will need glossy cardstock, wax paper, a brayer, dye ink and an iron. Crinkle up the wax paper and then smooth it out. Put it between two sheets of paper, iron the “sandwich” and then open it up and put the waxed paper aside […]

I tried to scan the whole piece, but it comes out too dark every time, so I had to make do with a section photo, instead. This is an example of how different things can end up. I originally was planning to continue the cheery birds I’m working on. They’re so cute that you need […]

I missed last week’s class at Studio 432. I heard it was fantastic, but so was this week’s class - making a magnetic board using recycled gift cards. Next week’s class is art dolls and I so wish I could go. The dolls on display are absolutely marvelous and are made using mint tins and […]

I’m on a recycling kick, I guess. This tag is made completely from scraps I was going to toss out - a piece of cardboard for the tag body, a bunch of one inch strips from all the skinny book pages I’ve been working on, a baby wipe I’ve been using to wipe away excess […]
