Art Supply Sunday - Bind It All
I know I’ve mentioned my Bind It All machine before, but I love it so much, I’m mentioning it again. This handy gadget makes it so easy to bind fat books. I also used it to make pocket art journals for the artsy people in the family and 4×4 notebooks with some smooth surfaced exotic papers inside for those who aren’t artsy, but like to make lists.
Zutter, the manufacturer, warns against making the machine punch through thick items. Their guidelines say:
Chipboard: under 3 mm or 1/8″
Cardstock sheets: stack of paper not measuring over 1/8″
Acrylic: 1/32″ thick (nothing thicker than a standard CD ROM)
Metal: very thin aluminums or metal sheets that do not exceed 0.025 of an inch
or ( 3 - 128th of an inch).
Wood: Soft wood, MDF woods - of thickness up to 1/8″
They specifically warn against using the machine to punch through license plates, unless they are the new flimsy ones.
