Art Supply Sunday - Moleskine Sketchbook

Spring is coming, which means that most of us will be roaming outdoors a lot more in the near future. I thought it was time to talk about carrying a small sketchbook when you go out. I use them all the time to jot notes and make quick sketches. Sometimes, if I know I’m going to a certain type of place, I’ll pre-stamp some of the pages with related images and give them a quick wash of color so that I can easily journal on the go. The Moleskine is the Holy Grail of sketchbooks for most artists, but I’ve also just used ones I’ve made myself by binding a few pages of watercolor paper that were folded in half and adding a heavy cardstock cover.
