Artful Monday a Bit Delayed - Mixed Media Monogram Letter
I took such grainy photos yesterday that I decided to wait until this morning and take a clear one under natural light. Obviously, I haven’t figured out how to use that light box and supplemental lighting right yet!
Anyway, here is a nice, clear one. I am actually working on the word Nest, but the “e” insisted on being done first. This is a very pushy piece of art, because it also absolutely refused to be green and yellow to match the kitchen.
Am I the only person who has problems with art doing what she wants? I think this question calls for a new poll.

Oh absolutely! Though I (usually) don’t consider it a problem. A while ago, I was interviewed about my artistic process and I said,
“No matter what the media, I need to have an end product in mind. Then I pull together suitable materials and let them guide me in my work. The result is often quite different from what I originally had in mind; but working toward a goal keeps me focused on producing a finished product.”
P.S. The “e” is lovely. I hope you’ll share the rest of the word when it is done.
