Artful Monday - Swim Through Troubles
One of the articles in Cloth, Paper, Scissors was by Chrysti, who makes such wonderful backgrounds for her mixed media pieces. I was so excited that I actually went to the store to buy Walnut Ink so I could try some backgrounds. (I guess that doesn’t sound like such a big thing, but it is major for me. I have a bad case of Lyme’s Disease right now and can’t even get out for basic groceries most of the time.) Of course, I didn’t follow all of the steps. I never can make myself do that. However, they turned out pretty nice. I don’t think this is quite done, but I’ve reached the point where I’ll ruin it if I touch it again. The fern is a big home decor stamp and the fish is one of those little four for a dollar foam stamps. (I should have done a photo instead of the scan. The scan came out really dark and without a lot of the depth.)
