Stamping Mad

Back to School With Rubber Stamps

by Katelyn on July 27th, 2007

back to schoolEverywhere I look, it seems like back to school supplies are out. I thought it might be fun to talk about some ways to use rubber stamps to personalize school supplies:

Decorate a strip of paper with stamps and colored pencils. Cut it to fit a cheap Bic type pen and glue it into place. Spray on a coat of fixative to make it more durable.

Create a fancy nameplate for your binder using alphabet stamps and a few of your child’s favorite character, animal, or bug stamps. Run it through your Xyron or other laminating machine. Then, punch holes in the four corners of the nameplate and the corresponding spots on the binder where you want the nameplate to be. Attach the nameplate to the binder’s front with brads.

Big decorative stamps and fabric ink pads can personalize fabric book covers and backpacks.

Do you have any favorite ideas for personalizing your back to school supplies with stamps?
