Birthday Card Bookmark Combo
I really like to make birthday cards that are also useful by designing cards that include bookmarks, pins or other small goodies. This simple birthday card/bookmark uses unmounted rubber stamps from Buffalo Stampede. (By the way, their site seems to have been taken over by a travel company. Does anyone know if they are still in business?)
To make the card, stamp the vase image on a piece of cardstock that has a quarter inch of each side and the bottom folded under to form a pocket. Glue the pocket in place. Cut a piece of matching cardstock to create a bookmark. Carefully position the floral image so that the stem will actually sit in the vase when you slide the bookmark into the pocket. Color in your images and then laminate the bookmark to make it more durable. Don’t forget to stamp your favorite sentiment inside.
