Blogtipping a Few of My Favorite Craft Blogs

As I was writing my post title, “A Few of My Favorite Things” got stuck in my head. It’s really hard to concentrate with Julie Andrews singing away. Anyway, you may be wondering what Blogtipping is. It simply is a way to recognize three great blogs and offer the bloggers 3 compliments and a tip. So, without any further fanfare, here are three of my favorite crafting blogs. Ok, just a short drumroll:

1. Layers Upon Layers by Cyndi Lavin
* Great mix of topics - I love the way Cyndi blends posts about great new pieces she has seen with her own work.
* Fabulously clear and easy to follow technique demonstrations. These posts are like free mini classes for crafters.
* The Make Art Mondays and Technique Tuesdays are a really good idea. I check back to see if there is a new post under these categories each week.
Tip - Consider continuing the daily theme. I’d love to see Weird Art Wednesday.

2. Jewelry and Beading by Tammy Powley
* Beautiful jewelry designs. I feel inspired to create when I look at your posts about your jewelry.
* Great content. One particular post really stands out: Permission to Bead. This doesn’t just apply to beaders. We all need to give ourselves permission to enjoy life.
* Blogroll blog introductions. I love the fact that Tammy does her own version of blogtipping by talking about her favorite blogs.

Tip- Keep blogging! I know I’ll keep reading.

3. Artist Hideout by William Lehman
* This day in Art History is a great idea.
* I love that you feature other artists on your blog through artist submissions.
* Great wallpaper.
Tip - Keep posting photos of your art. I love seeing what other people are doing.
