Artful Monday - Paper Quilts

Ok, I was able to find time to make a few paper quilts. I discovered that I am not a geometric kind of girl. No matter how hard I tried, some ragged edges and uneven shapes showed up. I used unmounted stamps and I’m not sure who made the wine bottle. Possibly Buffalo Stampede?

Artful Monday - Oyster Shell Ornament

The local library asked me to put together a craft project that could have been done by Eastern Shore Native Americans back in the early 1600’s. Well, there were oysters and there were pigments to paint with, so I opted for this oyster shell ornament. Look for instructions tomorrow.

Sprinkle crayon shavings over it. Place the second heart on top, forming a sandwich. Heat your heart sandwich with […]

Crazy Quilt Heart Card

This simple card is one of my favorites, probably because it combines two things I love - crazy quilts and hearts. I stamped the image on white cardstock, colored it in and cut it out with decorative scissors. Then, I adhered it to a piece of red cardstock. I stamped “Valentine’s Wishes” inside.

Rubber Stamp a Garland for Christmas

I was going to make the traditional garland from interlocked rings of paper with the kids when I started looking at my rubber stamps. My PSX Gingerbread Man stamp was perfect for a garland. We stamped a bunch of the little guys on cardstock and cut them out. Then, we punched holes in their gingery […]
