With a name like Dreary Daffodils, you’d expect this Etsy shop to be filled with things that are…well, dreary. However, they are almost all downright cheery. This talented artist creates such lovely cards and envelopes that I had a hard time decided which one to show you. Then I decided that with Valentine’s Day coming […]

I love the few cards Ireland has posted in her Splitcoaststampers.com gallery. This crane and willow tree card using a tissue paper and acetate technique is absolutely gorgeous. Look at the color and texture on the tree background. I have got to make time to play around with this technique.

I really enjoyed looking at the many Christmas cards Scrapbit has been creating this year. The card I chose to highlight is simple and colorful. Wouldn’t you love to receive it in the mail?
Happy Holidays

Today’s spotlight artist is the talented Tatsuko, who hand carves all the stamps used on these lovely cards! Isn’t this doxie adorable?

Ann’s Creative Nook has so many lovely rubber stamped card layouts that I had a hard time picking just one to spotlight. This Thankful Thoughts card seems like the perfect one to show you since tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I didn’t realize Stampin Up! had so many new designs. Of course, I may not have realized […]

This lovely mixed media collage by Cassi’s Creations simply needed butterfly wings. Great composition, wonderful use of stamps and (if you’re […]

This card by Shopping Diva is a perfect example of how striking simplicity can be. She uses two stamps, but the result is stunning. The darker pink ink on a pink background is really nice and the Celebrate image immediately brings fun and parties to mind.
So, here is this week’s stamping challenge:

Remember the “Get Your Doodle On” ATC swap I was talking about a few months ago? I got my swaps back and they are lovely. I thought this was a perfect day to show a few of them to you, since they certainly provided me with plenty of inspiration!

I’m always trying to add more color to my art. This artwork from Rubber Designs shows how amazing black and white can be. I’m going to give some black and white pieces a try, but it will be hard, since I am kind of a color addict.
By the way, if you want to recreate […]

I’ve never done artwork with a lot of yellow or orange, but this lovely card is making me rethink that. Vibrant, fun and definitely worth a place in the Wednesday Spotlight.
