Stamping Mad

Daisy Hill Acrylic Alphabet Stamp Set

by Katelyn on October 12th, 2006

I’ve been a bit frustrated with the traditional alphabet stamps mounted on wooden blocks. Masking and positioning can be so time consuming. When I saw Daisy Hill’s acrylic alphabet stamp set, I decided to see if using acrylic stamps was easier.

I did have a bit of trouble peeling some of the letters off of the backer sheet, but they all adhered to the acrylic block for the entire time I used them. The first time I inked a stamp, I thought that it wasn’t accepting the ink, but despite the way the stamp’s surface looked, it made a nice, clear stamped image.

As for the claims that acrylic stamps are easier to position? Absolutely true. I was able to place the stamp exactly where I wanted it in seconds. No more positioning problems!

My overall impression? For under $10 for an entire alphabet, this set is a major bargain and performs like a much more expensive stamp set.
