History Gothic Arch
Today’s challenge at Gothic Arches was history. I didn’t plan to do it because I was short on time for the one I wanted to do, which would have involved digging out a photo of my great grandpa and a bridge he helped build. Then, I thought about trees and all the history they must see, so here’s my quick effort. (Stamp is a foam home decor sun.)
In case you can’t read the writing, it says “The old tree has seen more history than any man.” The background is a watercolor wash covered in walnut ink. A bit darker than I wanted. I was thinking about my nut brown inkpad and grabbed the walnut ink instead.

What a wonderful tribute to trees….made me think about them and all that they give to us and how long it takes for them to grow. Very imaginative and lovely.

Great — the art is beautiful and your dedication to trees was a great idea.
