Stamping Mad

Our Captured Fairy

by Katelyn on December 3rd, 2007

fairy jarHooray! My internet connection is finally up and running again, so I can show your our version of the captured fairy jar. We used a huge pickle jar from the sub shop instead of the smaller jar that Suzi Blu used. I cut a circle of green paper for the bottom instead of using moss, because I didn’t feel like wandering out in the freezing rain. We glammed it up a bit with a scrunched up piece of gold netting.
A few thoughts:

* If you make a jar, be very careful of your rubbings. They do tend to come back off pretty easily if the jar is being handled.
* We ended up spraying our whole jar with sealant and it didn’t get too cloudy.
* After we finished the project, I realized that we should have used a picture of my niece to make a fairy. It would have really personalized the jar.
