RubberStampMadness September 2007
I picked up the September/October issue of RubberStampMadness this week. I haven’t subscribed recently and thought I’d see what was going on. Is it just me or did converting to the regular size make the magazine less special to you, too? I understand completely that the company had to make a business decision that kept the magazine on store racks, but I miss the big size. (I had doll houses when I was a teen. If you’re a doll house fan, you may remember a tiny magazine called Nutshell News that went to standard size, too. Fans were just as upset about their magazine growing as stampers were about theirs shrinking.)
Anyway, even with the less exciting size, RubberStampMadness is still worth the purchase price. It isn’t quite as edgy as it used to be, which is a shame, but A Stamping Feast was great and I was really pleased to see an article on Magical ATCs.

I have an almost complete collection of RSM Dating back to the last issue of tabloid size. I need to move them out of my tiny apartment so are there any takers before I start cutting pages out of them and sending them to the recycling bin. I’m in San Francisco.

I was a HUGE fan of RSM way back when … when it was a real ‘art’ magazine for rubber stampers (and artists alike). I loved the large size, the artwork, the articles, the section for finding stamp pals, etc. I had a subscription for many years. When it went to a smaller size I kept my subscription, but then it went even smaller, to 8 1/2 x 11. I think it has much less content and I find it less interesting and less educating/entertaining. What a shame. I only buy an occasional copy now.
