Stamping on Melted Crayons

by Katelyn on January 18th, 2007

dec-2006-050-medium.jpgThis is a fun way to use up some of those broken crayons sitting around the house. Cut two heart shapes from waxed paper. Place one shape on a heat resistant surface that is easily cleaned. Sprinkle crayon shavings over it. Place the second heart on top, forming a sandwich. Heat your heart sandwich with your heat gun until the wax melts and the waxed paper is melted together. It should only take a few seconds if you used very thin crayon shavings. Quickly press your stamp into the surface of the top heart before the melted crayon cools. The stamp will form a clear image in the crayon wax, which will be permanent after the wax cools.
