Stamping with Children - Teach them to Give
One of my favorite memories is teaching my youngest brother to rubber stamp and then helping him send the cards he made to a very sick little boy in Denmark. Although that little boy received hundreds of cards from all over the world, he didn’t receive them from children his age. Getting the imperfect cards from my brother, who was a year older than him, with stickers or a coloring sheet stuffed inside really brightened his day. It also helped my brother become more aware of other people and their problems.
It’s been over 10 years since my brother sent his cards off to Denmark, but he still will mention that little boy and says he is glad he was able to brighten the time he had left. Who would have thought that rubberstamping could make such a difference in someone’s life?
