Step 5 in Stamping a Card: The Accessories!

by Nikki Katz on June 2nd, 2005

This series is devoted to the steps necessary to stamp a card.

Step 5: The Accessories!

Now that you’ve stamped your image, it’s time to accessorize! This is the point where you can add eyelets, brads, ribbon, cord, hemp, punches, glitter, jewels, buttons, and anything else you can think of. I usually add accessories before gluing the layers together so that they are not visible from the inside of the card (when using eyelets, ribbon, etc).

For this card I decided to punch a swirl out of the white paper to show off some of the patterned paper below. I also used a two-way pen to add glitter to the wand and the fairy dress. I turned up a corner of the second layer and glued a button to hold it down.
