Isn’t it ironic that I’m not quite happy with a piece of art called Be Happy? Well, I’ve fiddled with it until I’m sick of it so I’ve decided it is done anyway. I used a foam flower stamp for the background and the words are a rub on. The image is one of those […]

Oh, rapturous day! I am finally moving my guests out of my house and my studio can now make the long awaited move from its crowded home in the spare bedroom. I had just emptied the old laundry room to be my supply closet and was converting the old living room to the studio when […]

And I’m late again. I woke up this morning and realized that when I came up to use the scanner at midnight I never posted the image. Can’t we just fit a few more hours in the day? Anyway, here is another ATC sample for the class:

I’m working on samples for the ATC class I’m teaching on April 12th at Studio 432. I want to have a nice variety to show the participants, who will probably not even really know what an ATC is. (I’m the first mixed media instructor and not many people around here are doing this sort of […]

I have an overflowing scrap bucket again, so I thought it was time to revisit paper patchwork. Here’s a little ATC piece I worked on the other day. The medalion rubber stamped image is a UM, so I’m not sure who made it. The image is from Altered Abbey.

Remember the “Get Your Doodle On” ATC swap I was talking about a few months ago? I got my swaps back and they are lovely. I thought this was a perfect day to show a few of them to you, since they certainly provided me with plenty of inspiration!

I’m working on a few more paper quilt pieces. This is an ATC sized piece and I had so much fun with it. When I saw the woman looking away from her lover, I knew I had to put that bottle in the corner.

This ATC was really hard to scan because of the spring - it is about an inch high and the image of the man is blurry in the scans because it is so far from the scanner bed. I stamped a few small hearts (using a rubber stamp I picked up from a dollar bin-no […]

When I saw this scrap of sheet music, I couldn’t resist making a quick little ATC using it and one of the crayon backgrounds from one of the previous Technique Tuesday posts. As you may have noticed, I’ve fallen in love with the Stampsmith image of the Victorian girl and am using it again here. […]

Here’s an example of the masking tape background. This ATC has a layer of torn masking tape with a fish images stamped on it. I rubbed a blue ink pad over the masking tape and added a bit of embossing powder for some sparkle. The saying is by Dave Barry.
