If you haven’t visited Trish Bee’s blog to see her wonderful new heated oil pastel background technique, you are really missing something spectacular. These gorgeous backgrounds are so lovely. Grab a few of your broken pastels, a piece of parchment paper and an iron and get busy.

I used a lot of different objects as stamps for our first challenge. My favorite: a background created with the eraser end of a pencil. I also used springs, character erasers and a wrench. I tried pasta, but it didn’t work out. Don’t forget to post your results to the flickr group!
