Theme Thursday’s challenge for today was Spring. Since I’ve been trying to drum up excitement for a Think Spring Fat Book swap, I was really happy to see a related challenge.
I stamped the letters for spring on the page, but they didn’t show up as well as I wanted them to, so I inked […]

I made this Christmas decoration in an afternoon. You’ll need plain wooden letters to spell out a word, a frame, a piece of decorative paper, a home decor stamp and paints. I used the metallic watercolors I was gushing about yesterday. Sand and prime your wooden letters, stamp your home decor stamp on them using […]

I don’t have a completed project to show you today, so I thought I’d share a canvas I’m working on for a swap. I used a home decor leaf stamp to make the background. I still need to work on the bird’s beak and I’m not sure if I’m done with the eye. I’ve redone […]

I kept meaning to play with the Sculpy I bought and then today I had two sick kids home, so it seemed like the perfect time. They played with their clay and I played with mine. It takes some getting used to, but I think this was pretty good for a first attempt. I used […]

Most of the swappers have their charms in for the first Stamping Out Alzheimer’s Charm Swap and they are adorable. Here is just a sampling of what I received:

I have an overflowing scrap bucket again, so I thought it was time to revisit paper patchwork. Here’s a little ATC piece I worked on the other day. The medalion rubber stamped image is a UM, so I’m not sure who made it. The image is from Altered Abbey.

Today must be mail day. I received a message from a market researcher who needs Quebec residents to answer an online survey:
My name is Justin Ethington and I’m a market researcher who is working on an online research study especially for stampers and paper crafters in Quebec. We have posted a 10-minute survey and are […]

Want to oooh and ahhh over the work of other mixed media/stamping artists in person and help a worthy cause at the same time? Here’s your chance! Please join me in a swap that can help stamp out Alzheimer’s disease. I will be auctioning off the extra pages as a fat book on eBay to […]

Debbie’s Diecuts has some amazing rubber stamped inchies. She made some circle inchies, which I think are absolutely wonderful. In addition, if you hate cutting all those little squares, (and circles) Debbie sells an inchie sampler. That way, you can make your own lovely inchies without the hassle of cutting them out.

I did use stamps on this piece, but they got covered up completely by all the layers of acrylic and lace. Everglade Beauty is based on the lovely blue herons I was watching the other day. I started a series called Chesapeake Blue that features herons, but remembered that I had this background and got […]
