Firecracker Designs is a rubber stamp company with a great idea - matching die cuts for their stamp line. It is a great way to quickly add depth to a card without having to cut out stamped designs, since they are pre-cut. Here’s a video explaining how they work:
Cool, huh?

I came across a fantastic site this week - the GPP Street Team blog. How have I missed out on it all this time? They do month long challenges and this month, they are challenging us to make our own stencils. Awesome tutorials and a ton of great inspiration.
If you have a blog or […]

I was really excited to find this new resource for collage sheets and thought it would be the perfect site to spotlight today. Free Collage Sheets is fairly new, so there are only two sheets up so far, but the quality is quite nice. What a nice thing to do for all those artists who […]

Look at the texture on this piece! Isn’t it amazing? I’m spotlighting this one because of all the texture packed into it, but there are so many lovely things to look at on Bulles Dorees. Unfortunately, I only read […]

Today, I’d like to spotlight Card Inspired. These tutorials she does are so professional and all of her ideas are simple, but lovely. Perfect for someone who doesn’t have a ton of tools and experience, but also nice for a more experienced stamper who needs ideas. She’s just decided to go on a blog break, […]

Today, I’d like to introduce you to Paulette Insall. She does such lovely work and she even shows us how she does it with Youtube videos! I love the fact that she uses those same cheapo home decor rubber stamps on her canvases that I like to use. I guess you only have to ruin […]

Today, I’m spotlighting my local art studio, Studio 432, in Perryville, Maryland. It finally has a website! You can see some of the great stuff for sale there, like Phil Johnston’s utterly cool silverware sculptures. I couldn’t resist his frog piece.
There are also arts and crafts classes coming up this Spring, so keep an […]

With a name like Dreary Daffodils, you’d expect this Etsy shop to be filled with things that are…well, dreary. However, they are almost all downright cheery. This talented artist creates such lovely cards and envelopes that I had a hard time decided which one to show you. Then I decided that with Valentine’s Day coming […]

I love the few cards Ireland has posted in her Splitcoaststampers.com gallery. This crane and willow tree card using a tissue paper and acetate technique is absolutely gorgeous. Look at the color and texture on the tree background. I have got to make time to play around with this technique.
