Technique Tuesday - Carve Up Some Rubber Stamp Doodles

by Katelyn on December 11th, 2007

peacock leaf treeDo you find that you doodle the same image over and over again? I make a ton of peacock leaves and lollipop flowers. The other day, I realized they’d be super easy to carve and I made rubber stamps for them. Now, when I want a tree filled with peacock leaves, I can make it so much faster, but the rough carved design still gives it a slightly hand drawn appearance.
This also really comes in handy when two little guys look over your shoulder and cry, “Oooh, I want to color a tree. Can you make me one, too?” With the newly carved stamp, it only took me a few minutes to make them each a coloring sheet.
