Technique Tuesday - Don’t Forget Masking
This little tag card by Papernpencil shows just how versatile a tiny stamp can be. I have this chick rubber stamp and I’ve used it perched on a tree and sitting in a wagon, but I never thought to put it in a pot. Seriously cute and deceptively simple.
How did she do it? By stamping and then masking the pot and stamping the chick. For stamping newbies, masking refers to the process of cutting a piece of paper to the exact dimensions of an image you don’t want to get ink on and carefully placing the paper over the image. Then, you align and stamp your second image. When you lift up the paper scrap, you have a piece of art with depth and added interest.
