Technique Tuesday - Faux Spray Paint Backgrounds

If you’re anything like me, when you see a technique that is a bit toxic, but really cool looking, you start trying to think about ways to recreate the technique in a safer manner. So, When I saw spray painted backgrounds using stencils, I started brainstorming what else I could use and came up with spray on fabric dyes. You could also use spray on acrylic paint, but I have dye, so it is what I used. Place some stencils on the canvas, spray on a color, put down different stencils and spray on another color. Repeat until you’re happy.
