Technique Tuesday - Making ATCs from Trash
I could have used good cardstock for this ATC’s background and I could have used a piece of watercolor paper for the base, but there’s nothing trashy about that. Instead, I grabbed a piece of cardboard, cut it into ATC sized blanks and started fooling around with a single rubber stamp. I stamped ALAS by Stamp Francisco all over the cardboard using four different inks. Pretty good for a piece of trash, huh? Okay, telling you to look at your trash before you dump it in the recycle bin isn’t really a technique. I guess I should have labeled this post Tuesday Tip instead.
Anyway, once I stamped the background, I stamped another piece of paper a single time and collaged it onto the ATC with a saying I’ve been messing around with ever since I read Chicken Little to the kids the other day. I found a cute chick and added him to the ATC. It looked a little unfinished, so I rubbed a metallic inkpad all over it. On the scan, the metallic ink doesn’t really show up, except for where it makes the saying look blotchy instead of shimmering cutely like it does on the actual ATC.
