Technique Tuesday - Painted Text Backgrounds
If you make altered books, you probably have a ton of pages sitting around. You don’t want to throw them away, but you can’t keep storing the insides of every book you redo, right? This technique is perfect for using up some of those pages. You will need a few book pages, acrylic paint and a brush. Simply create designs right over the text and pictures on the page with your acrylics until you are happy with the result. Once you are done, let the paint dry. Repeat the process on more pages. You now have a bunch of colorful recycled backgrounds for your rubber stamped art. (By the way, this technique also works just fine on junk mail.)
