Thanksgiving Card Idea
I love to send Thanksgiving cards to my family. However, I don’t want to invest in a ton of rubber stamps that can’t be used for other projects. So, I try to be creative in my Thanksgiving card design ideas.
One of my favorite cards is one I made for my sister to send out. I used the Hero Arts Thanks wordprints stamp as a background and some of A Country Welcome’s unmounted fall leaf stamps. I stamped Thanks on a piece of cardstock and layered it on top of a piece of deep orange handmade paper, which I adhered to a rust colored card. I adhered a color copy of a photo of my niece and nephew playing in the leaves to the Thanks stamped image.
To finish the outside of the card, I stamped five leaves onto sticker paper and used some metalic rub-on colors to make the leaves really glow. I cut them out and scattered them around the image on the card. (If you had a large leaf hole punch or die cut, you could punch a few leaves out instead.)
Finally, I used a leaf stencil to cut out a large leaf for the inside of the card and stamped Happy Thanksgiving on the leaf. There was enough room for my sister to write a greeting and for the whole family to sign the card.
