The Saddest of Sad News for Rubber Stamp Lovers
I opened up my email yesterday and got this email. I only read the first paragraph and thought “Super. Sounds great.” Today, I read the rest of the press release and realized they are actually stopping The Rubber Stamper and just giving people Crafts N Things, which will have a few stamping projects in it. That is a very different thing and not at all super, especially since Crafts N Things is not quite cutting edge or ultra stylish. Most of the projects in this magazine are great to do with the kids, while The Rubber Stamper was often on the sophisticated side.

I am excited to inform you that The Rubber Stamper magazine has been
sold to Amos Craft Publishing. Amos Craft Publishing is a fine

with them in the months ahead and together we will create a plan to
take the magazine to a new level. The November/December 2007 issue will be the last issue of The

I had wondered for a while if The Rubber Stamper magazine was doing well, since it seemed to be getting slimmer and slimmer. I bought it of the newstand. Right now the only RS magazine I subscribe to is RSM.

I was very sad that they discontinued The Rubber Stamper when it was sold. I was not impressed with Crafts N Things magazine. I don’t think it is even comparable to The Rubber Stamper magazine. I wanted a stamping magazine, that’s why I subscribed to The Rubber Stamper, not a craft magazine where over 1/2 of it is knitting, crochet, jewelry making and other crafts. I have since discontinued the subscription, using the customer service link on their web site. I also sent them an email as to why I was doing so. I hope I can find another good stamping magazine to help inspire me!!

Pati,
RubberStampMadness is all about stamping, but is a bit edgier than The Rubber Stamper. http://www.rsmadness.com/ Vamp Stamp News isn’t as glossy, but it is wonderful. http://www.vampstampnews.com/

I, too, am highly disappointed in the demise of Rubber Stamper. I’ve tried the other magazines, and didn’t find them to have the enjoyable info on new inks and techniques that RS had. The alternate craft magazine isn’t nearly as informative as RS was. I’m afraid that now I’ll have to look to scrapbooking magazines for little crumbs of info on stamping. GRRRRR!

I was also very unhappy about the discontinuation of RS. I happened to have a card published in the new magazine and got my complimentary copies in the mail this weekend. They did have about 75 cards in the first issue which was nice BUT I was not impressed with the weight of the page nor the color of the card pictures. They seemed to have a slight whitewash over them. Having to thumb to the back of the issue for stamp credits was also maddening. Can’t say that I’m impressed nor encouraged to subscribe. Hate going through other crafts to get to the cards.

I have now received the second issue of Crafts N Things and I’m NOT impressed. I really miss Rubber Stamper Magazine. I don’t care for knitting, etc. I will be stopping my subscription. Anyone know of another magazine replacement for “The Rubber Stamper Magazine”? I am a STAMPER only.

We will never have as good a magazine as The RubberStamper! I do like the Stamper Sampler but there is no Limelight, or the featured articles of others stamping places..etc. I am still in mourning and miss my monthly date with The RubberStamper.

Count me in as one still in mourning for the demise of The Rubber Stamper magazine. I had just renewed for another 2 years!! I will be canceling my subscription to Crafts N Things as it is just not doing it for me. The same thing happened to me with Expression magazine (does anyone remember that goodie?) after I renewed for two years. And they didn’t even offer a replacement. I was out alot of money! Won’t be subscribing to anything else, that’s for sure!
