Thursday Thought - That Jumbled Mind Means Creativity
Creative minds are rarely tidy. (I couldn’t find out who said this. If you know, please drop me a note.) Anyway, with the way my mind is always jumping around, I was glad of an excuse. Now when someone says I’ve sure got a lot going on, I can say, “It’s because I’m creative, okay?”
Do you feel that your mind is untidy? And if you do, what do you do to circumvent that? I use a paper system. Lists and calendars. I’ve tried using my computer, but I tend to forget to check my online calendar and lists. A note on the tea bag container with all the chores I need to do that day is foolproof. I see it six or seven times a day because I am a serious hot tea addict. Any appointments go immediately on my calendar. And all my ideas - I have notebooks all over the place that I jot passing thoughts down on. They are usually a bit obscure, but will jog my mind:
- Tea cup handle cover reminds me that I want to glue a tea cup handle on an altered book cover I’m working on.
- Owl mask and sparrows reminds me that I want to make a piece of art where the girl is wearing an owl mask to try to fit in with a flock of sparrows.
