What Does Mother’s Day Mean to You?
One of the members of MomGadget’s forum is having a blog carnival for Mother’s Day and was asking what Mother’s Day means to me. Well, as I was thinking about the question, I realized that Mother’s Day is coming up fast and I have no idea what to get my mother, who insists she has everything she wants. So, I’ve decided to make her a special card telling her what she means to me and to take her out to dinner. My card is going to actually be a little tag book and each tag will have a letter from the word “mother” on it. Then, I’m going to borrow from fifth grade English (And no, I am not smarter than a fifth grader! Those questions are tricky.) and make a name poem. Of course, besides saying “M” is for Many Years of Love and Understanding, I’ll add a bit of journaling about a special memory.
Hopefully, it turns out the way I envision it. I’ll be using some rubber stamps to spell out the letters in “mother” and to decorate the pages a bit. If this idea inspires you to make a similar project, I’d love to see the results.
